Krispy Kreme Buildout Model

A major unforeseen cost in construction projects is tear outs and rebuilds. A project can be close to completion when a stakeholder decides they want something re-done. One way to reduce these scenarios is utilizing 3D models to thoroughly communicate design ideas in the pre-construction phase.

The Schimenti Construction team led the design and construction of Krispy Kreme's flagship NYC store. A unique and hard to communicate feature was the donut box stadium seating. To highlight the value of 3D printed communication models, the Jett 3D team visited the store to hand sketch the seating feature and then used those drawings to produced a 3D CAD model which was printed and assembled.
